In New York this week for a bunch of portfolio showings. Figured we would show a few images of some of the updated promo cards and portfolio books we had done recently. The books were designed and built by Mullenberg Designs, and all the printing was done by our friend Jeff at Total Graphics (you may remember Jeff from a blog post we did a while back of a tour of Total Graphics).

Keeping with our apparent obsession with architecture these days, I thought that I would post a few of Dave’s photos of Beijing’s famous “Birds Nest”, seeing how it was recently announced that it’s designers will be reuniting for the first time since 2008 to work on a new project. Ai Weiwei and Herzog & de Meuron, the superstar trio, will soon be working together to create this year’s “Serpentine Pavilion,” the annual work of temporary architecture erected on the lawn of West London’s Kensington Gardens.
You can read more about it Here
Also, If you are interested in Ai Weiwei, be sure to check out the new documentary “Ai Weiwei Never Sorry” which should be out soon.

I was going through some photo archives today and came across some of Dave’s old iPhone shots from his most recent trip to China. I wasn’t in China with Dave, and I don’t know anything about the stories behind any of these shots, but I though that they were great quirky photos and needed to be shared. Here are a few pictures of China through Daves eyes.

Hey, it’s Brendan here. I thought that I should do an “Inspired” post seeing as it’s something fun we are trying to add to the blog these days.
Two things that I find inspiring are art and skateboard culture. Here are a few of my favorite short films that combine those inspirations well. Enjoy.
A creative take on graffiti by using a remotely controlled spray can apparatus mounted to the underside of a skateboard.
Some interesting angles in this film by Joe Simon, shot from a RC helicam.
Beautifully shot film showing French skateboard team “Oxelo Skateboards” trip to India.
Here is a local Vancouver short film by Ethan Miller Productions called “Kensington Nights”.
